So I decided one what to do...

Where: Next to the Maid Cafe (or where that was last year). Don't worry, I'm stealing bishieluver's idea and making a giant poster. You can't miss it.
When: 4:30 ~ when people want to leave. Probably around 6.
What: I'll be bringing some food, but if you want to bring your own, that will be fine. I'll see if I can prepare some games and some posters from magazines/the actual magazine that I don't like or need some prizes for you guys to win. I'm bringing some speakers, but all the music I have is basically Arashi and News. I'll download some more JE music tonight, but if someone can bring their own music (I'll bring a CD player if I have to) that would be very much appreciated.

Okay so here's the info (finally right?). If there are any discrepancies, please tell me between now and 10:00 tomorrow morning. Hope to see you all there.

12th-Jun-2008 05:42 pm - UPDATE! AnimeNEXT Meetup
The schedule for the convention is finally up! The meeting place is the same and we've decided on a time!

Is noon-2:00 good for everyone? I think that would be best.

Also, my mother (lol I'm 16) has brought up the issue of food. I was planning on bringing just um...lots of candy. There's restaurants surrounding the "picnic area", but is there anything anyone specifically wanted? Hey, maybe there will be surprise BAKED GOODS. :D

Hope this works out for everyone~
2nd-Jun-2008 04:24 pm - Meetup At ANEXT?
Mods: I hope this is ok!

I don't know how many of you guys are into anime/manga/whatever, but me and a number of my friends will be attending AnimeNEXT this year. ANEXT is a convention held June 20-22 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center (which is pretty close to New York). Last year we ran into some KAT-TUN fans so this year we figured "Hey, we should have a JE picnic!"

When?: June 21, some time in the afternoon (exact time to be decided shortly; we're waiting for the event schedule to be posted)
Where?: Meadowlands Exposition Center, Secaucus NJ. We will be in the huge plaza behind the Holiday Inn and there are plenty ideal spots to eat! The plaza can be accessed through the parking lot, but it's easier to just park nearby and go straight through the Inn doors.
How to find us?: There was some construction last year, but I believe the "weird statue thing" is still in the plaza (you can't miss it really). We will all be gathered around there with JE-related posters, so please look out for them as we will be in cosplay and otherwise unrecognizable!

If you think you can go or have questions please just reply to this or e-mail me at aninanviller@yahoo.com

-Thanks!

Note: More information about the convention can be found at www.animenext.org
When: April 12, 2008    @ 1pm - 5pm
Where: KARAOKE DUET 304 E. 48th Street bet. 1st & 2nd Ave
Price: $5/person/hour
Please email me your name and the number of people coming with you. Then I will email you my number so you could call me when you get to the place. I thought this would be the best way to find everyone. heheh.

april.libao@gmail.com

ok everyone here's the details. Please let me know by Wednesday if you're DEFINITELY coming. I need to make a reservation. It's going to be pretty early because a few of you who are interested live outside NYC so i figured it gives everyone time to get to the city and still come home at a decent time. If anyone wants to do anything afterwards i'm up for it. We could actually have our food delivered to this place so it's pretty cool since we get to enjoy singing our fave JE tunes while eating and yea, it saves time. hehe.. I actually went there today and man I was totally uprepared. They're really up to date and yea NEWS - Taiyou no Namida/ Hoshi wo Mezashite's videos are the actual videos! so yea i was really in front of the LCD dancing..^__^ so bring your lyrics if you're like me hahah...I actually wrote down some of the numbers of a few songs so that we could start singing right away and not waste time looking for the song numbers.
shige love me
I hope this is okay. It's nothing big. A friend and Iwere going karaoking and wondered if any others wanted to join in!

Hi guys! It's time for another meet up, and this time it's at Japan Day, on June 3rd (Sunday).

http://www.japandaynyc.org/index.html

"On June 3, Japan Day @ Central Park kicks off with the Japan Run at 8:00 a.m. and continues throughout the day at Rumsey Playfield (SummerStage) with food, activities and entertainment showcasing some of the most exciting elements of traditional and contemporary Japan.

There will be live music, dance and martial arts demonstrations on Rumsey’s SummerStage, and there will be food tents featuring Japanese cuisine and sweets, activity booths featuring such traditional arts as origami and calligraphy, and electronics tents displaying cutting edge Japanese technology.

Japan Day is organized by representatives of the Japanese Community with the support of the Consulate General of Japan in New York to say a heartfelt “thank you” to the great city that America’s largest Japanese community calls home."

This is a free event, however you might want to bring money for food. We are meeting AT 9 AM AT THE MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY! You can get there by the C line. If you can come, or think you can, please comment with the following:

Hope to see you there. :D
